CLINICAL RESEARCH AND TEACHING

Though direct patient care is Retina Associates primary focus.  We are also active in clinical research and teaching.

Retina Associates has been actively taking part in clinical research studies since the late 1970s.

Our most recent clinical study was the Bevacizumab, Ranibizumab, and Aflibercept for the treatment of center involved Diabetic Macular Edema. The results of Year 1 were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and Year 2 results were published in the medical journal "Ophthalmology".

By research and teaching, we hope to gain knowledge to help assist the evaluation and management of our patients.
